Beginning October 1st, 2009 there will be a few changes in the organization (but not the content) of the program. The year now will be divided up into four (4) sessions: Fall (4th Quarter), Winter (1st Quarter), Spring (2nd Quarter), and Summer. The Fall, Winter and Spring sessions each will have 13 scheduled lessons with the summer covering the remaining weeks in July - September (Please see the break down of dates on the Miss Karen 2009-2010 Info. Sheet).

Sheet).♫The standard payment system will be on a session by session basis. KOK: $210, Semi-Private: $240, and Private: $300. Notice this is based on 12 lessons rather than 13- which means I have built 3 FREE days (beyond national holidays) into the regular year calendar. If you come to all 39 lessons – you get a bonus! (These 3 FREE days will take the place of those 2 vacation/sick days you used to be allowed under the old contract). In addition, your payment still is based on the old rates of $17.50 (KOK), $20 (semi-private), and $25 (private) and you no longer have to figure out how many lessons each month – it doesn’t change.

Due monthly by the last day of each month for the upcoming month. This works out to be $75 (KOK), $85 (semi-private), and $105 (private) for a four (4) week month. Note: this does not mean you can pay on a lesson by lesson basis – you are still required to pay the entire month up front unless previously discussed with Miss Karen.

No more needing to go up front to ring in books, etc. All matierials for anyone following the KOK program (books, flashcards, etc. – everything required for your lessons except the instrument you practice on at home), as well as any needs for recitals will be covered by a materials fee. This fee is prorated depending on what matierals you already have (brand new students: $35, summer students w/only the yellow KOK book: $26, those who have 1A Fun Book: $20, those who have 1A and flashcards: $16, those who have 1B: $14, those who have 1 B and flashcards: $10.
